About four months after the November 22, 1963, assassination of President Kennedy, Marina Oswald, Lee's wife, told James Martin, her business manager, and later Robert Oswald, Lee's brother, that in April 1963 Lee threated to harm former vice-president of the United States, Richard Nixon. Marina said that she locked Lee in a bathroom to prevent him from doing any harm to Richard Nixon.
