The files mostly cover the period of time Kissinger went from diplomat and political scientist in 1969, to President Richard Nixon's National Security Advisor. They progress through Kissinger acting as President Ford's Secretary of State in 1974. They end with remnants of security investigations of Kissinger in 1981, 1985, 1988 and 1998.
